Alumichem
Alumichem are seeking MSc students and university supervisors for collaborative thesis projects.
University supervisors interested in developing collaborative MSc thesis project proposals with Alumichem are welcome to contact Kresten Jon Korup Kromphardt, Senior Scientific Consultant, or the Alumichem contact person Paul Mines, Lead Scientist.
Interested MSc students should contact their university supervisor or Kresten Jon Korup Kromphardt, Senior Scientific Consultant.
Alumichem produces chemicals and systems for sustainable water purification. Most of our production takes place in Kalundborg, while our engineers are located in Birkerød. Additionally, we have branches in Canada, Belgium, and Ghana.
Our main focus is on the purification of industrial wastewater, but we are experiencing significant growth in the treatment of drinking water and wastewater from aquaculture.
The company is experiencing substantial growth, and we are pursuing a growth strategy involving expanding our product portfolio and related production facilities.
As a company, we have a strong focus on sustainability, and we have zero waste from our production. We have extensive experience in research activities in collaboration with universities and use these to implement our technological strategies
Project ideas
We are open to discuss potential projects in the field of:
- Process optimization of polyaluminate production: characterization of different types of raw materials, intermediates and products
- Process optimization of polyaluminate production: experimental investigation of process constraints
- Process optimization of aluminum chloride production: characterization and testing of different types of raw materials, intermediates and products
- Process optimization of aluminum chloride production: experimental investigation of process constraints
- Process optimization of sodium aluminate production: characterization and testing of different types of raw materials, intermediates and products
- Process optimization of sodium aluminate production: experimental investigation of process constraints
- Error propagation in QAQC laboratory operations: quantification of uncertainty in the analytical chain
These projects will relate and it will beneficial with cooperation between the students. These projects will mostly take place in our facilities in Kalundborg
