New sculpture will be placed in front of the Helix Lab Building

Share
At Helix Lab, we are looking forward to a transformative addition to our building and Campus Kalundborg as a whole - a sculpture project that will enrich Kalundborg's artistic and educational atmosphere. This has been made possible through generous donations totaling DKK 1.3 million.

Inspired by the success of previous art installations during the Lundbye Kunstfestival, the Lundbyekomitéen has decided to further enhance the city's public spaces with two stunning sculptures. These sculptures, created by artists Anders Hald and Per Ahlmann, will be placed at Helix Lab and Professionshøjskolen Absalon and unveiled during the Lundbye Kunstfestival 2024.

With generous contributions of DKK 550,000 from the Danish Research Foundation, DKK 500,000 from Novo Nordisk, and DKK 250,000 from Kalundborg Municipality's new art fund, this project has become a reality.

The connection to the industry

These sculptures celebrate the connection between science and art, a concept close to Helix Lab's mission. As an Education and Research Center in the Biotech City, we're delighted to contribute to Kalundborg's cultural development.

Anders Hald and Per Ahlmann, the talented artists behind the sculptures, have embraced the theme of nature's harmony with human creativity in their work. Their pieces will undoubtedly give new perspectives among our educators, students, and visitors.

At Helix Lab, we look forward to the unveiling of these sculptures as part of the Lundbye Kunstfestival 2024.
