The event, a long-standing tradition at Helix Lab, served as a showcase of academic achievement and collaboration.

Guests enjoyed an engaging evening of research insights, champagne, and cake while learning about projects such as Project Portfolio Financial Analytics, Enzymatic Saccharification of Wheat Straw, and Lignin Application in Bitumen.

Industry and academic voices added to the afternoon’s reflections. Sara Babio, industry supervisor from Novo Nordisk, and Thomas Frandsen, academic supervisor from Copenhagen Business School, shared their experiences working with the Fellows for the first time.

“The Helix Lab format and team really support the academic, practical, and social processes of a thesis. As a supervisor, it truly matters to hear from the student that they are getting the support they need. That makes the process of sending a student to Kalundborg feel safe and beneficial", Thomas Frandsen said.

Fellows Rubén Lago Losada and Sofia Stratinaki also offered personal perspectives on life at Helix Lab.

“During our time at Helix Lab, we Fellows get to share ideas and different perspectives—both professionally and personally—and we understand and support each other,” said Lago Losada. “The Fellows Program and living at the collegium together also mean that it is never boring to live in Kalundborg. I hope we will stay friends always.”

Following the event, Fellows and staff gathered for a celebratory dinner at Restaurant Næs, enjoying panoramic views of the Kalundborg Fjord.

As the semester winds down, some Fellows are preparing to stay in Kalundborg beyond their time at Helix Lab. Some have already signed rental agreements and employment contracts.

"The Gallery Walk once again proved to be not only a celebration of academic accomplishment but a testament to the vibrant, supportive community Helix Lab continues to cultivate," Management Consultant at Helix Lab, Nanna Blume, says.
