Ingrid

Ingrid Ann Østvold

Job: Process Engineer in M3 Fermentation at Novo Nordisk A/S (Kalundborg)

Background: MSc in Engineering, Chemistry and Biotechnology from Aarhus University (AU)

Motivation: I find it incredibly exciting how biological processes can be utilized to create valuable and useful products such as medicines, and make a global impact. Novo Nordisk is an exciting company that produces life-saving medicines for a significant portion of the world's population through large-scale bioproduction, and goes to great lengths to achieve a positive impact in the world, both in terms of public health and the environment. I find that important, and I can easily align myself with the company's values. The expansion of the company leads to a fantastic opportunity to follow the planning and development of the new facilities in M3, and I am so motivated to use mye knowledge to contribute to the project, meet many skilled professionals, see the new production come to life, and continue to follow the production further into the future.
