Helix Lab fosters Collaboration & Innovation

For a student to get awarded a Helix Lab Fellowship, move to the Kalundborg collegium, do thesis work and ultimately graduate, get a job and move to Kalundborg permanently there needs to be a thesis project to begin with. This is why we bring people together from Kalundborg industry and the Danish universities to collaborate in forming a Helix Lab project.
Last week Helix Lab hosted the biannual Matchmaking Event, an initiative designed to foster continuing collaboration between specialists from Kalundborg industry and academia from the universities. A wide range of innovative project pitches spanning from sustainable explorations to robotics and animation, shows the event’s role in creating innovative ideas and hopefully form them into future projects.
The participants at the Matchmaking Event represented nine companies and seven universities, who to exchange expertise and perspectives. It is one of Helix Lab’s key missions to create and facilitate a collaborative environment. Collaboration and networking events like this are vital for the innovative spirit and translation of academic research into practical solutions in the Kalundborg industry.
Participants included a broad spectrum of institutions and companies, each contributing to dialogues with the aim of evolving projects and to foster new connections. The range of topics, challenges and needs presented illustrate the potential for ideas to expand into projects that not only advance technological boundaries but also offer viable solutions to the industry’s challenges.
